Round Onion and Chicken Simmered in Curry

Ingredients (4 servings)

Round Onion

Chicken Pieces (with bone in)

(A) Ingredients

Salt

Curry powder

Ketchup

Large bell pepper (red)

Garlic

Salt, Vegetable oil

1-1/4 – 1-1/2 lb.

2 Tablespoons

1 red pepper

1 clove

As desired

1. Cut the onion into quarters or sixths.

2. Rinse chicken lightly in salted water and dry using paper towels. Put the (A) ingredients in a plastic bag and add the chicken pieces. Massage the seasonings into the chicken. Let it marinate for 10 min.

3. Cut bell pepper into bite-size pieces and cut garlic in half.

4. Heat the oil and the garlic in a large pot. When the oil gets hot, add chicken pieces. When you smell the curry, add 1 1/2 cup water, onion and bell pepper. Do not stir. Cover and let simmer for 20 minutes at medium heat.

5. After 20 minutes, open the cover, and keep simmering until almost all the liquid is gone.
