This Sunday (8/9), we are airing the final two episodes of Behind the Noren. That’s the bad news.

The good news is that this is just the end of the first season of the series. We will begin airing the second season of Behind the Noren early next year. And for those of you who missed this series from the beginning, we will retelevise the entire first series starting September 22nd.

Hi, I missed the second half of a old Asami Mitsuhiko episode in which his sister was discovered to have been murdered instead of dying in a hiking accident. I have been trying to find this on YouTube but without success. I don’t know the title of this particular episode. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Onegashimasu!

We aired a number of two-hour Mystery Theatre movies from Tokyo Broadcasting (TBS) that featured Mitsuhiko Asami. This was back in 2010. In 2013, we aired a nine-part drama series (also from TBS) titled Mitsuhiko Asami: The Last Chapter. We’re not sure if the episode you are searching for was a two hour movie or part of the series. Here is the Japanese title of the series:

      Mitsuhiko Asami:The Last Chapter

      Good luck in your search.

I will truly miss Sunday nite watching Behind the Noren…I just love that show! Thank you for showing it!
When next year will the second season be seen on tv?

Oh good, I just checked in after the final episode to see if there was another season – I’m so glad to hear there are two more! I enjoyed it very much.

This has been a great season on Kiku, although sadly it looks like Mystery Theater is going into reruns again.

Actually, they are currently running the fourth season of Hanayome Noren in Japan. We will begin airing season number two in early 2016.
