Making It Through Promotion

1. The Making It Through...Starring You! Promotion is sponsored by KIKU-TV, 737 Bishop St., Suite 1430, Honolulu, HI 96813, and Hinone Mizunone restaurant (sponsor), their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents. The contest begins on Monday, March 8, 2010 and ends on Sunday, March 28, 2010. Entries must be received by Saturday, March 21, 2010. By entering, each entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these Official Promotion Rules and the decisions of KIKU-TV.

Entrants are asked to write a short story describing how their family is "making it through" life's daily challenges. The stories should fit one of three categories:

a. Most Touching

b. Funniest

c. Most Inspirational

2. Eligibility. You must be a current legal resident of Hawaii and 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, their immediate family members, or anyone residing in the households of the employees of KIKU-TV or Hinone Mizunone are not eligible. Only one entry per person per day will be accepted. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.

3. How To Enter. From March 8, 2010 through March 21, 2010, individuals send to KIKU-TV a short story of 250 words or less describing how their family is "making it through" life's daily challenges in one of three categories: Touching; Funny; or Inspirational.

Entries must be received by 11:59pm Sunday, March 21, 2010. All entries become the property of Sponsors, and Sponsors reserve the right to use any information submitted by entrants. Entrants agree to grant Sponsors the right to print, publish, broadcast and use, worldwide and in any media now known or hereafter developed, including, but not limited to the worldwide web at any time or times, the name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness and biographical information of the entrants.

Entries must be written by the entrant. They must be legible and will be void if they contain any obscene or offensive words or if the entry is incomplete, illegible, damaged or altered. Sponsors are not responsible for lost, late, illegible or mutilated entries.

In submitting via email, entrants agree not to upload, post, or transmit any materials containing computer viruses or harmful components intending to damage, interfere with, or harm any computer system or to gain personal information.

4. How Winners Will Be Selected. KIKU-TV will randomly select three entrants' stories for each category (Most Touching, Funniest, and Most Inspirational). From March 22, 2010 to March 28, 2010, the selected stories will be posted on the Making It Through...Starring You! promotion page at kikutv.com. Viewers will have a chance to visit the website and vote for the Most Touching, Funniest, and Most Inspirational stories from the entries posted. The entries in each category that receive the most votes will win.

Winners names will be announced on KIKU-TV from March 29, 2010 through April 4, 2010. Winners' entries, and the entries of other randomly selected entrants, will be posted on www.kikutv.com from March 22, 2010, through April 4, 2010.

5. Prizes. A $100 gift certificate for dining at Hinone Mizunone will be awarded to each entry receiving the most votes in each category: Most Touching, Funniest, and Most Inspirational. (Three total $100 gift certificates to be awarded.)

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

Hinone Mizunone gift certificates must be picked up at KIKU-TV's office at 737 Bishop St., Suite 1430, Honolulu, Hawaii, 96813, during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm) by Friday, April 16, 2010. Legal and valid identification must be presented by the winner(s). Limit one prize winner per household.

Prizes are non-exchangeable and there is no cash redemption.
