EPISODE 1:

Kinpachi Sakamoto, the homeroom teacher of Class 3-B at Sakura Junior High School, receives news that science teacher Endo has been caught under suspicion of being a molester. 

 

 

EPISODE 2:

Transfer student Mika Morizuki refuses to wear a uniform, which causes the principal and vice-principal to fear her influence upon the other students. A rumor that Takashi Hasegawa’s parents are trying to make art teacher Tachibana quit enrages several of the students.

 

 

EPISODE 3:

Kinpachi begins a lesson regarding rules when a number of students, influenced by transfer student Mika, begin coming to school in plainclothes.  Meanwhile, there’s a big shake-up in the soccer club when the principal brings in former J-League player Sekiguchi as the new coach.

 

 
EPISODE 4:

Satoken shuts himself in his room and doesn’t go to school for a week from the shock of having his beloved baseball taken away from him by his father who has firmly told him to focus on his exam studies.  Meanwhile, Kinpachi learns that Otome is seeing someone who works at the same school as her and is ten years her senior and once divorced.

 

 
EPISODE 5:
Despite having a 4 and 3 in art and P.E., respectively, and 1s in the remaining subjects, Kouya suddenly says he’d like to become a teacher.  Realizing his feelings aren’t half-baked, Kinpachi does everything he can to help him realize this, but the real problem is Kouya’s mother who is against him continuing his schooling.  Meanwhile, Satoken has another confrontation with his father.
 
 

EPISODE 6:

Earnest students with good grades, Mi-chan and Mieko surprise everyone around them when they suddenly dye their hair blond.  During that time, things between Mieko and Minami become strained after quarreling over a broken study date.  Chara and Nicholas sneak into school one night to steal the answers to a math test and run into Sato, a student from Class A.
 
 

EPISODE 7:

Kosaku begins teaching practice at Sakura Junior High, his alma mater, to the great interest of the students.  One day, Shun comes to school carrying a baby causing an uproar in Class 3-B.  Shun’s father, who is the leader of an acting troupe, comes to see Kinpachi to ask him to persuade Shun, who’d like to play music in high school, to succeed the troupe.  Meanwhile, Mondo is troubled over a letter from his father, an American soldier, who had  returned to America leaving Mondo and his mother behind.
 
 

EPISODE 8:

The annual Junior High speech contest draws near and Ryoko is selected to participate.  Mondo loses his cool when he learns that his father would like to see him before he goes to Iraq.  He decides to ask Ryoko to translate his father’s letter, but the exchange is witnessed by Miyuki and Rina, who misunderstand what they see, making them the subject of teasing.  As a result, Ryoko hurts Mondo with her words.
 
 

EPISODE 9:

The speech contest safely ends and Kinpachi and the students of Class 3-B naturally assume that Mondo will go to see his father, but Mondo is hesitant to go.  Realizing that the travel costs must be the reason, the students, with the exception of Chihiro, cooperate to earn enough money for the plane ticket with an auction on the Net.  Chihiro, who refuses to change her mind, finds herself instantly being written up on Class 3-B’s secret site.
 
 

EPISODE 10:

Chihiro, who’s become a target on the Class 3-B secret site, goes to a family restaurant thinking that she’s going to meet her friends, but is instead greeted by a man who professes to be an education journalist writing on the actual conditions of school secret sites.  Agreeing to an interview for $300, she goes with him to a condo where his attitude takes a complete change.  Kinpachi openly expresses his anger over the secret site, but will it affect the students of Class 3-B?
 
 

EPISODE 11:

Kosaku safely finishes his teaching practice at Sakura Junior High.  The entire class of 3-B is set to take the high school entrance exams, but Kinpachi is still concerned about Satoken who has continued to miss school.  Boss comes to school with a black eye sending the class into an uproar.  Satoken’s father comes to Kinpachi for advice and is taken to the classroom to receive advice from the students of 3-B.  With winter vacation ahead, one problem after another occurs.
 
 

EPISODE 12:

Kinpachi happily greets the New Year with one New Year’s card after another from his students, however, his students are already facing dilemmas early on in the new year.  Boss is uncertain about leaving his abusive father and running away with his mother and younger siblings, while Ayaka goes missing after her boyfriend tells her that he’s killed his father.  Kinpachi rushes off after Mr. Endo, the homeroom teacher for Class 3-A, intrudes on his meeting with Mr. Yuyama to let him know about Ayaka.
 
 

EPISODE 13:

After Boss, his mother, and his younger siblings leave, his father promises to stop drinking.  However, no sooner are the words out of his father’s mouth that he begins drinking again because he can’t find employment.  Tomoharu becomes a victim of blackmail after he is falsely accused of raping a girl he had met on the street.  He seeks out Boss’ help, who ends up owing the blackmailers in Tomoharu’s place.

 

 
EPISODE 14:

Kinpachi, unable to stand by and watch Boss live with his alcoholic father, seeks advice from the Welfare Office, while classmates Mika, Hiromi, and Tomoharu, aware of Boss’ family circumstances worry about him.  Meanwhile, Sakura Junior High’s principal and vice-principal begin holding practice interviews for the 3rd year students.  Taisho begins working part-time at Hiromi’s father’s shop, but...

 

 
EPISODE 15:
Junko studies ballet just as passionately as she studies for her exams.  One day, her friend Miyuki loses her balance and falls into Junko, causing her to fall and sustain injuries that will take a month to heal.  The two apologize and forgive each other, however, their parents quarrel over it with Junko’s parents demanding restitution from Miyuki’s parents, making it difficult for the two.
 
 

EPISODE 16:

Shiori collapses from fatigue just before her entrance exams and comes to in the school infirmary to see a protective spirit behind Kinpachi’s back, which only she can see.  Her mother later tells her that the women in her family are mediums.
 
 
EPISODE 17:
Tama-chan has set his sights on a famous private high school with a strong sumo club.  Iga-pi, who has been aiming for the prize for perfect attendance, comes to school with a high fever and refuses to go home despite advice from his classmates who don’t want to catch a cold before their entrance exams.  Iga-pi draws the criticism of his classmates when Tama-chan comes down with a high fever after carrying Iga-pi home on his back.  Meanwhile, Kinpachi juggles worrying about his students and Otome.
 
 

EPISODE 18:

Rina, who has preferred eating to the opposite sex, is thrilled when Yuji tells her that he has something important to talk to her about after school.  Lacking the courage to confess her feelings to him, Rina had anonymously given Yuji chocolate on Valentine’s Day.  With a mixture of anticipation and apprehension, Rina goes to the soccer field where Yuji is having practice.  Kinpachi gives a lesson about the delicacy of a student preparing for entrance exams and love during any era.

 

 
EPISODE 19:

The high school entrance exam is finally over and, other than Mika and Nicholas, everyone has passed.  Although set to go to America with her parents soon, Mika has a disagreement with them when she says that she wants to take a secondary exam.  At a loss when her father refuses to listen to her wishes, Mika goes to see Kinpachi and refuses to return home.  Kinpachi allows her to stay over that night but, this later develops into a huge problem.

 

 
EPISODE 20:

News that Kinpachi allowed Mika to stay over at his house travels amongst the teachers and students, drawing the interest of the tabloids.  While Kinpachi reflects on the rashness of his actions, he is also shocked to learn that the rumor was spread by Kanawa on Class 3-B’s secret site.  The students’ parents become vocal about the issue and Kinpachi decides to remove himself as Class 3-B’s homeroom teacher.

 

 
EPISODE 21:

The problem of Mika’s overnight stay remaining, Ujiie of the Board of Education comes to Sakura Junior High to advise him not to have Kinpachi attend the graduation ceremony since it appears that the tabloids are sniffing around for new information.  Upon learning that Kinpachi is not allowed to attend the ceremony, the students of 3-B fiercely object and do the unexpected!

 

 
FINAL EPISODE:

Swayed by his students’ feelings, Kinpachi decides to fight.  Demanding to have him reinstated as their homeroom teacher, they shut themselves up in the gymnasium.  Will Kinpachi and his students safely go through graduation together?
