General Manager’s Greeting

Welcome to KIKU-TV.

At KIKU-TV, we strive to offer both our viewers and advertisers a distinct, enriching and entertaining experience not available at other stations. For more than 40 years, KIKU-TV has provided Hawaii's residents and visitors with ethnic programming, particularly Japanese shows.

More recently, KIKU-TV has significantly broadened its appeal by offering a more diverse selection of high-quality, multi-cultural programming including American, Japanese, Filipino and Vietnamese shows. We have made this shift in recognition of Hawaii's unique ethnic mix and our community's increasingly global outlook. You’ll find that KIKU’s programs, like Hawaii’s population, are truly multi-cultural, thereby reflecting our unique culture and people. In addition, we have consistently found that more and more people in Hawaii are seeking to further broaden their international cultural exposure. It is our goal at KIKU-TV to fill these needs in an informative and interesting way. Our growing number of viewers confirms that KIKU-TV is now truly a station that anyone and everyone can watch and enjoy regardless of their age or ethnic background.

The KIKU-TV team also recognizes the importance of supporting our local community. We regularly feature public service announcements and also have created a way for non-profit and charitable organizations to publicize their events through the KIKU Community Calendar. We welcome your notification of upcoming events for inclusion in our Community Calendar.

We very much appreciate your feedback and take it into account in the selection of our programming and scheduling. We fully recognize that our continued success is determined by how well we meet our commitments to both our viewers and advertisers.
